The SS Île-de-France was a French ocean liner. The ship was the first major ocean liner built after the end of World War I and the first liner to be decorated in an Art Deco style. Considered the most beautifully designed ship ever built by the CGT, she became the preferred ship of the interwar era, transporting young, wealthy and fashionable Americans to and from Europe.
